335d rear brakes grinding after 40 000km?

Is this normal? After 40000 km the rear brakes are over?

Check your pad thickness, they should still have plenty of life left (3mm or less = replace.) Check the rotors for uneven wear or rough spots and deep grooves; the entire face should be shiny.

The traction control really eats the rear brakes under slippery conditions; have you driven a lot in snow/ice? That *might* explain it...

Actuallly, I found the problem, salt was stuck in between the rotor and pad
Lol

So the salt rock was jammed in the caliper beside the pad and was rubbing like a rock on the rotor? Crazy stuff.
