Physics get in the way with out the supporting mods. Inter-cooler to reduce the psi drop and cool better more Hp, more efficient. Catless downpipes get heat away from the hot side of the turbos and less restriction so they spool faster, more efficient. Cooler air is more dense = more fuel =more power. Without supporting mods you will always run in to this and that makes 400 at the wheels with just a tune impossible. IMO of course.

ya right now and I agree 99%, but who knows maybe its possible.
I grew up with that mentality that nothing is impossible, but I do highly doubt it because like you said it doesn't make sense.

I guess if he ran high octane fuel and it was really cold out and his ignition correction was dialed in just right he could get close. I have seen people with 92 oct DCI and procede V4 Stage 2 run 376whp. It seems there is a small room for improvement there but not 20+whp.

You are right about are cars getting faster, its amazing how I think that's it she is tapped out and then here comes V4 and a whole new world of possibilities. Procede is the best decision I have made for this car with ditching the RFT in a close second.

as others have said, you can make a dyno read whatever you want it to. also, if it's a custom tune, maybe this guy is just running a dyno glory map at rediculous boost levels.

Mustang dynos allow for a customizable "correction factor" which allows you to manipulate any numbers. There is a shop well known in the EVO world in Florida for doing this so every basic mod they produce looks like it has ungodly gains when in reality they just manipulate their dyno to read higher.
I have no doubt your friend could be telling the truth, but I doubt it's his tune and I'd point to his dyno if he's actually putting down those numbers. |

this might be possible if he was running 104 octane and 18lbs of boost...maybe
