I test drove the new Audi A4 1.8T yesterday. Well finished etc but you could tell it was a front wheel drive. It felt like it had more torque steer than the new Lancer and concidering the price differential, NOT GOOD!!! |

Not "exclusive", but still retained the price tag

Great review of the S5 in the Financial Review today. Basically said front drive sucks, and that the car may look good, but ultimately for drivers there is little substance... they lamented that because of the looks it may be too late before an owner realises that they are really driving a crap car (my paraphrasing)
I am sorry, I am not buying this whole LED DRL thing Audi is doing at the moment. To me looks like someone said "BMW have cool corona lights, how should we copy them", and after much discussion someone said "Lets make shapes with LEDs and make the front look like a low-res 1980's video game" The difference with BMW is that the corona lights recall the classic four light design that BMW used, and those Audi LEDs recall absolutely f*** all. [ahhhh, that's better off my soap box for today]

MELBOURNE RED E92 M3 Coupe with with CFRP roof, rego [JULIEN] in the city tonight and it looked SWEET AS!
I must say, the pics i have previously seen have been crap & orange-ish, but in person it looked amazing. The red is not orange-ish at all, like i've seen in some pics, it's not like japan red or crimson red either. It's actually visually identical to Ferrari Rosso Corsa Red. Which makes sense given come GP time in Melbourne is a known for being a sea of red, as you'll see more ferrari's than holdens down lygon st. I think the pics i've seen so far really don't do the colour justice, i think the difference is similar to that i saw with audi's sprint blue, it looked in pictures a lot like Estoril blue, however in person it looked more like laguna seca blue.

^^ Melbourne Red is almost identical to the metallic red that alot of RX-8s are kitted out in. It's not a bad colour, but I don't think it's a BMW colour.
Meanwhile, I had an astra of a day, 2 E92 M3s (Silverstone II and Space Grey) ho hum, and a Ferrari 612 in Grigio. |

Well I spotted so many different 3 series today that you'd think you were at a Facination day......... Hang on ..... I was!!!!
Got a ride in the new M3 as passenger to Geoff Brabham. Only got up to 150kph but the sound was great. The M3's the perfomance drivers had were equipped with race grade brake pads which squealed like a pig. The day was great and up to usual BMW high standard. |

I would dare say that in person i actually think Melbourne Red owns Imola. Again you have to see it to believe it, but i thought it looked damn good on the car.
Whilst using that phrase, i guess this is something you have to see to believe, how to make a $700k car look like a big stinking turd. http://www.carpoint.com.au/used-car/...sn5681623.aspx

Spotted an Aston Martin Vantage 8 with 'V8V' plates yesterday in Chatswood.
This morning I spotted my cars little brother, aka 135. Still not a fan as I think it's a tad ugly but each to their own. |

Must have been in the morning? Bit before 11? I would have been in the car with the Mrs. Or did you see my car outside the Hillside?
A mate had a birthday party up there and his wife organised a scavenger hunt around Castle Hill which was pretty good fun! I didn't see your car though, or were you and Aaron rocking in his E46 M3? |
