nope... Good try... money is off the table...
- 19 is my birth day in the month of August (main reason why its my favorite #) - 19 was my house number when I lived in NY - 19 was my baseball number in HS Everything I have had to choose a # for, 19 it is... I chose bavarian19 originally on bimmerfest.com (where I have wasted most of my life learning about the BMW brand). I did it for anonymity due to my profession, but half of the people here know my real name anyway... |

AJ, thinking of heading up to WV for a drive and check out that hokey casino I see advertised on TV every now and then...wife's out of town in Miami so me and the guys are up for a little mischief
Any other suggestions along the same lines, don't want to drive too far (atlantic city is too far) but want to do something out of the ordinary...

If you are going out route 9 to charlestown wv, hit up some vineyards. They have some excellent wines out that direction. Certainly stop by at breaux... http://www.breauxvineyards.com/ |

I'm going to get a manicure today and maybe a facial. Then I'm headed to the mall because I need some shorts and a tote for work.
After that I have dinner with a boy. Car isn't getting cleaned. I thought about it... maybe tomorrow.

oh I do the vineyards thing plenty with wife and friends, but its a guys weekend out
Would've started early in the weekend but I had hell trying to make it back here from OC. Had so many flight delays and changes, I wasted 2 days trying to get back to DC AJ, there is a ride and drive event in August over at Fedex field, hosted by GM. You pay $40 to run their cars on an auto-x and times get posted on a national roster...aside from the cobalt ss you will have access to the Z-06 apparently. There was also a nice ride and drive event earlier, the one with all the exotic cars) but skipped that due to high price... Always on a look out to abuse SECs/NYCs (someone else's car/not your car) at a manufacturer's expense

Sorry it wasn't a z06
excerpt: All the excitement, instruction and intense competition of the Rev It Up (RIU) Performance Driving School and National Racing Competition – a hit with thousands of fans across the country – will take to the pavement again in 2006 with six scheduled stops in major cities throughout the United States. RIU presented by Chevrolet is the chance for automotive enthusiasts and thrill seekers to stop watching races on TV and jump into the action for real! RIU provides the cars, safety equipment and expert instruction that guarantees a high-energy experience. Competitors only need to sign up, show up, listen up to professional instructors, and use up multiple practice laps before saddling up to the RIU Competition Course for a shot at the National Championship. The talented hotshoe with the highest score nationally on the RIU Competition Course will receive a brand new Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged. The 2006 version of RIU will feature more of everything – instruction, cool cars and track time. There will be increased guidance from professional racers, and powerful vehicles from Chevrolet. Specifically the Corvette C6, Cobalt SS, Cobalt SS Supercharged and Impala SS will be utilized on RIU Skills Courses where drivers learn more about car control, vehicle dynamics and racing lines. And once practice is over, it's time to show your stuff in a Cobalt SS for two laps on the RIU Competition Course. The RIU program also has a new twist this year – Hot Laps in the Corvette C6 where guests ride "shotgun" with a pro driver and learn how to attack an autocross course. The very popular racing kart track will also be back as part of 2006 events, as well as a course where people can get a feel for the entire Chevrolet SS car line. There are a limited number of competition slots available during each RIU weekend, so pre-registration is very highly suggested. The cost is only $50.00, or $45.00 if you sign up online in advance at www.RevItUpRacing.com. Competitors must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license. http://www.speedtv.com/articles/auto...ifestyle/23961 August 26-27: Washington, DC - FedEx Field What say we all try to make this event...need to sign up early it seems...

Geeslice: doesn't an SG car looks cool with the wheels a little tinted with brake dust like I see in your pics...esp with blacklines, the graphite/gunmetal tone on the dirty wheels blend in nicely into the SG package.

1. KL2DC 2. Shimshimhada 3. FrankoQ 4. 5. I am still on a lookout for local ride and drive events, its slim pickings this year, manufacturers seem to be cost cutting. Last year was pretty good: GM, Jaguar (summit pt, WV), Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Mazda. Yes, I am a ride-n-drive-holic This is pic of my attempt at the Mazda Auto-X performance challenge. I think I was off the target time by about 2 sec on my 2nd run...a lot of fun! Awesome car for a tight auto-x track...
