330d strange noise

Hi

Got a strange noise on my 330d. On tick over I can hear a duck like noise. Like a rubber valve squeaking.

Any ideas what it is

I've got exactly the same noise!!! Seems to be coming from the manifold area of the engine - it does stop at times.

Very odd. I'm not concerned about it but I'll let you know what I find out!

Possibly the vacuum pump. Ease the oil filler cap off and it will likely be quite loud. Many are like it, if you identify it as the pump.

Yeah, it is a vacuum pump-type of noise Pete but I don't think it is related to engine speed whatsoever. I'll have a listen later.

I've done soon searching and vacuum has been mentioned. Apparently they have a vacuum to the engine mount and it could be this.

I'll leave it unti it's warmer and I can be bothered to fix

I had it on my last 330d and never found out what it was so the theiving twat that nicked it can sort it now.
