I wasnt sure. Glad too you can fix programming but injectors ans turbos are pretty expensive to upgrade.

We have been talking this over in the "oil catch can (OCC)" thread. I knew i had seen somewhere that there was a "wall thing" that isolated an open air filter element from turbo heat. Can you please post the part number or a link to where to buy this. I want/need to remove OEM airbox to put OCC in passenger side of engine bay. thank you

Thanks Greek.

My internet at home is suffering so can't see all of the link pictures that neovb put into the other thread. This is exactly what I've been poking around for. Look at the room forward of the element and the forward mount point where OEM airbox was bolted it. BMS N55 style OCC bracket has a perfect place to go. You would have to do your own custom tubing though.

Perhaps a phonecall to AES is in order though the other thread is 3 yrs old.

So my Wagner IC arrived today. Other than the potential cutting inside the bumper in order for it to fit properly, is there anything else I should know before the installation? The instruction booklet shows 2 x hanger bolts but I see 4 of them, 2 larger and 2 smaller ones.

Anyone know why there are 4?

Hey, Greek! I replied to your PM, but for anyone's future reference...
They are just options, but only two are needed. I used the shorter ones, but it was a bit of a pain. In hindsight, the longer ones may have provided more wiggle room when fitting up the IC.

Installed the Wagner IC today. No real issues at all and practically no oil at all in the old IC.

Anything else to report performance wise? I'm still hesitant about getting one.

The car definitely pulls easier at higher speeds. I've seen quite a few posters that monitored IAT that were lower after the IC installation. At some point I'll be getting a tune and I can see the Wagner being better suited for that than the OEM one.

hi guys. has anyone seen a boost in fuel economy running one of these intercoolers? this would be for my girlfriend's 335d, and we are looking to improve economy while cruising at about 80 mph.

I've seen an increase as well. Usually in the 75-85mph range.

I can't see you ever finding a used one unless someone who bought it removes the IC if they sell the car, returning it to stock.

Right. It's about that time when the 2010's and 2011's are going out of warranty, so maybe I have a shot.

I buy almost all the mods for my cars second hand on the forums, except for little things like paddles and painted reflectors... I drive an M, but I'm thrifty. Haha

Most of us just got the IC's. Might have to wait a year to get one. I threw my old IC away so no chance with me lol.

yea, its kind of nice to take something brand new out of the box, but i've saved literally thousands of dollars over the years buying barely used, like-new parts. saved $2,300 alone on my exhaust. i guess i'm still blowing money though, but i enjoy it, so bleh...

Its going to be hard to find a used part for sale when there really aren't many out there to begin with. If you're willing to wait a year or two you might find one.
