Another Bluetooth Phone Question - Call and Voicemail Notifications
I just received a RAZR V3xx to replace my V557, but I've noticed a difference with the way this phone interacts with my car. On my V557, if a call came in, it would not only ring on the phone, but also through the speakers. The phone's ring was different from my "normal" ring, but it wasn't anything that I ever set. This was especially handy if I was outside the car while it's running, as I would be alerted if there was a call. I've missed several calls because I didn't hear the "ring" from the car's speakers. Also, if I missed a call, I would get a "beep" from my old phone telling me that there is a voicemail message. No dice with the new phone.
Am I missing a setting on either the V3xx or car's BT that should be adjusted? Thanks!

I have the V3M. My 06 325 rings thru the speakers when BT is paired. Silences the radio and rings. I get beep notifications from the phone (NOT the car) when I have messages. I don't know of any settings in the phone that may be causing you to not get alarms.
May be an issue with the phone? Quote:

Unfortunately, I'm not even getting a delay. Once my phone is connected to the car, it stays silent and only rings through the car. I missed 2 more calls today! There has to be some sort of setting that I'm missing.

I have the same V3X and I get the same bro. The phone will ring and all other sound would stop in the car. Never knew about the ring but I have a different ring tone 'if that makes it change'.

Which one rings, the phone itself or the "ring" through the car's speakers? Right now, my phone doesn't ring, and I just get the "ring" through the audio system. I'd like to have it that both ring, like they did when I had my v557. This way, when I'm outside my car while it's running and connected to the bluetooth, I can still know that there is an incoming call. Any suggestions?
