Powder coating wheels Jersey Shore area

Hey guys. Recently I was quoted about $700 for powder coating wheels a gunmetal gray color. I think that this was way too much and could go somewhere a lot cheaper for them to get painted. Does anyone know of any shops local to Ocean County where I can get these powder coated at a much cheaper price? I doubt that $700 is a reasonable price and like to think that there have got to be better options than this.

$700 seems like a lot. Most quotes I got when shopping around was about $75 to $85 per wheel. haven't seen total go above $500 with mounting/balancing and all.

Yeah he said it was a flat rate, $175 per wheel. It's a total wheel repair, so if the entire wheel is scraped and rashed up, then it would still be $175/wheel, which included powder coating. Which shops were these that you got a quote, and did you ever get them painted?

Ended up not bothering to get them done lol. Rather just get a used set of VMR sometime in summer or a new set. Would actually not know about the wheel repair included price, never asked for it.

Just FYI we do powder coat 4 rims for $500 (dismount, repair, straighten, refinish, balance, and remount)
