I hate how nothing but BMW OEM fits on LCI bmws... So if I am ever in a tight spot and want to pick up wiper blades I have to go to the dealer and they charge 99 dollars... WTF

I think PIAA Super Silicon wipers are the way to go. They last for at least two years and act like Rain-X without the chatter or constant re-application. I have them on all our vehicles, including our 2011 3351 and 135i.

ECS has the OEM wipers for about $39.50, Pre-LCI and Post LCI part numbers. I went to the parts counter at the dealership and with BMWCCA discount, got them for $45. Regular price was around $50 or so. Not $100. If dealers are telling you that much, I would call parts at other dealerships.
I'm very pleased with the quality of the OEM wipers, my previous set lasted for three years. Though the new ones are dreamy-smooth, I should have treated myself to new wipers sooner. |

I bought some RainX Latitude wipers and I hate them.
They wipe fine, but they slap every time they flip. Ive used the OEM ones since I bought the car and really didnt like them either. They would wear out within a couple of months and start making noises. Next time Ill try some other brand. |

I got wholesaler closeout ones from rockauto.com for something like $3 each and they've functioned better and lasted longer than any I've purchased at an autoparts store.
I tried the rain-X ones, and they were awful - streaky and kept lifting. They were quite expensive too. I think the ones from Rockauto were Trico blades without the labels on them. Only downside is that the little plastic covers don't fit on them, but if you really wanted you could probably trim them a bit to fit. |

There's also this
$35 http://www.amazon.com/Bosch-33971189...productDetails and this one for $25 http://www.amazon.com/Bosch-33971189...productDetails Not sure if they will work with the car, specifically an E92 because the second one is a 19 inch. I ordered the $25 one lets see if it fits on my 07 E92 and how good it is. |

Don't worry about the e90 crowd, it might help actually making these widely available to the NA market. Thanks again. |

Well the AeroTwins are no different from the Valeos I have. Make noises when switching sides. Their also leaving lines right before switching. Same as the valeos. I guess I'll try a clay bar over the weekend.
I did try Windex and microfiber previously. And then washed the windshield and let it rain overnight. |

Probably going to try a set of the Michelin Stealth from Costco just to see what $9 a wiper gets me, but can someone confirm the sizes? Are they 24" and 19" or 24" and 18"?

The Rain-x blades were seriously awful. The cover didn't fit over them right and the blades were streaky and shitty from day 1. I was fed up with the ones on the car when I bought it, put the rain-x ones on while it was raining, and HATED them. They never worked right, they'd leave a big streak right down the middle of their wipe, right in my line of vision. I was never able to resolve it no matter what I tried. I put on a set of the bosch icons after 6 months of that headache and they have been fucking stellar. And the cover fits. So go bosch.

I got the bosch icons and they did not work for me. They would chatter in heavy rain and after the wipers had been on a while. Got the Rain-x and they work better then the oem & bosch. Got the rain-x Quantum
