This was my first snow in a BMW and my first in rear wheel drive. The DSC is great on highways with a little slush and snow, but when I got about 8 inches on Tuesday night, my baby got completely hung up halfway out of my driveway. I was pissed then, but find it funny now. I did learn to turn the traction control completely off so that I can spin the tires to get through some of the snow.

I can't make tomorrow's BMW CCA meeting, but we should all try and make that sometime. I am compiling a list of great drives in Missouri / Kansas -- too many of them have good stops for wineries or pubs though.

Sitting here at Metric Mechanics in Richland, MO, getting my Quaife LSD installed. Jim Rowe and family are the nicest people on the planet, and the shop here is amazing. Definitely a consideration for an outing from the STL area.

Let me know what you think of your diff. I think that is probably be the best mod for these cars. I'm debating weather I should track my 330I once, just to see what it's like. Do you track your car? How is their shop? nice? Clean? pics

You guys know of a good tuning shop in the area that deals with euro cars? Trying to find a single place where I can go for things like suspension, wheels, and potentially order some body pieces.

Have you tried Reid Vann (they installed the suspension and APR chip on my old Passat), Bimmers' R Us (no experience with them) or Autohaus BMW (I know they are a dealer, but if you are a BMWCCA member you can get a really good deal on parts)?

I know this may be a stretch, but I am looking at heading up to Chicago on APril 4th for a meetup. Looks like there is going to be some good turn out with a photoshoot on the 4th by the Lake and then a good number of DIYs at a local Shop who is letting them hold the meet at their facility. Check it out here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=228067

Looking for a place to install suspension that I have purchased around STL. I called Bimmers R Us and they want $1000, trying to find something much cheaper. Anyone have any shops they would recommend and their number?

I'm new here and just picked up my Montego Blue 335i six speed. I also just got an Advance Autowerke Processor. Anyone ever put one in? I sure could use the help. |

Honestly your best bet is a DIY approach IF and only IF you know someone who has done a suspension before. Also are you talking coilovers or springs? Last edited by carchrism5; 04-03-2009 at 08:12 PM.. |

Hey guys, will be driving through after picking up my new 09 in Spartanburg end of May. Would be great to set up a lunch on my way through... Or dinner considering how far I have to drive. Going all the way from the Performance center to Salt Lake City, in hopefully two days!

Hey All,
Just purchased my first BMW a month ago and am relatively new to the site. This car is very fun!!! Going into Autohaus of Clayton for my first issue. SEL for some kind of throttle sensor.

That's the one. I have to say that Jack and Greg were great to deal with on the sale. Too bad they don't do warranty work...

Anyone up for the Metric Mechanics tour this month? There are some great roads down there. There is a caravan setting up from STL, but we could also run one from Columbia.
