O2 question

Is it possible to have a bad o2 but no o2 specific code the thrown? I have a bank 1 lean code(p0171) and noticed today that bank 1 o2 has no voltage. I used 2 different readers and both show no voltage for that o2 but bank 2 o2 has voltage.

Yes it is. They get old and respond slow but wont necessary set a fault. How many miles do you have?

Yeah throw a o2 sensor at it, just make sure the engine harness wiring/pins are good.

Installed another o2 this afternoon. I cranked the car up and logged it. Looks like it’s still showing 0 volts but I’ll drive it around later and maybe something will change....The o2 that was in there was white.

White? The tip? That's normal. Do you have a way to delete adaptions?

Whatever code reader thing you're using probably isn't 100% compatible with our make/model...I'm guessing it's a universal app and not picking up the proper signals.

Buy MHD and pull a log...that will tell you for sure.

I replaced the o2 sensor this weekend. I have a pending lean code now but it has not turned into a permanent code and the light has not come on yet. we will see if it comes on....

Since i have checked for vacuum leaks and replaced the o2, the next thing i am guessing to look for is a bad injector? I know they are supposed to be calibrated but i was wondering if i could swap injector 1 and 4 and run it for a day or two. if the lean code still exists then i will swap injector 2 and then 3 until a code stops popping up.
