High pressure Rail Sensor failure ? 3F30 fault code
I had head gas kit replacement down and the everything was put together and had the 320d M47N2 engine restarted yesterday.
I had labelled every connector , so there is no reason for mix up . The INPA as well as ISTA is giving me only one fault which I could not clear, as it pops up again, Rail pressure sensor failure ( which is at the front of high pressure diesel rail ) It even pops up and fails to clear if I pull out the connector to it. The PINs are as below upon checking with multimeter PIN 1 ( Brown wth white line ) Negative ( Earth) PIN 2 ( Blue with white line ) + 4.8V PIN 3 ( Yellow with white line ) + 4.8V Is it the sensor blown for some reason ??? As I detached and refitted the rail ?? The fault displayed is 003F30 DDE: Rail Presuure Sensor , Signal |

I don't know if you ever figured this out. I have a 335d and I was driving a bit reckless and the engine malfunction light came on. The only code to come up was the 3F30 code. Now my car doesn't want to start and I'm trying to figure out if the sensor could have gone bad mid drive and if it just needs replaced. Anything helps.
