MT for lci

Hi!
I have BMW 320dA 3/2009.I read somewhere that it's possible to insert Alpina D3 software to N47d20. Has anybody made it or knows somebody who's been succesfull with it? I know it was originally made for M47.

Thanks.

This ALPINA performance flash is only compatible for the M47 Engine as the same generation ALPINA D3 Used that engine with turbo / injector / inter cooler upgrades.

As soon as ALPINA moved to the N47 it added a bi turbo which sets it miles apart from our 320d N47's. However, there is always the option of a custom remap

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I meant M47 MT flash for N47 single turbo engine. Maybe I misunderstood or it was only for auto transmission. Anyhow, custom remapping is always there but unfortunately costs you more money.

Is the ALPINA D3 Flash also possible on 320DA with auto transmission?
We flashed a friends 320DA and we lost cruise control? Solution?

Edit:

To answer my own question the answer is probably no since the D3 Pre-LCI never was sold with automatic transmission.
We got fault codes on cluthpedal sensor etc. Therefore the cruise control won't engage.

Is anyone still using this software? My friend has it from a week and all works fine so far, but I read that it can damage a turbo charger.

I did flash, and it didn't work well for me. 320d had two type of turbos installed garret and mitsubishi, i have mitsubishi turbo and aperantly i it is not compatibile with it. Engine runs smother and car is little more responsive below the turbo area till 1800 rpm. Also fuel consumption is little lower. But turbo acts like it is one with fixed flaps and builds pressure slowly. Car has much more power when turbo spins up after 2500 rpm and is faster but for owertaking you always have to downshift and keep it above 2500 rpm. If you are planing to do this check what kind of turbo is on your car. If you have garret one than this is ok for your car.

I have a one question if anybody knows before flash my zusb was 7809464 this is for 110kw fleetedition can i flash 120kw version and wich 120kw version zusb would fit my car?

Car is 2006 e90 320d m47tu2,
Flash was pretty easy and there were no errors after flash.

thx

Not possible, e60 has different DDE module.

Do you know that with this flash your injectors and turbo will die shortly?

But why would it destroy injectors and turbos?

They are not sufficiently resistant to this software. A;pina has different injectors and turbo and also bigger intercooler.

No, custom is custom, fitted to the car performance and hardware capabilities. Alpina software is strictly prepared for Alpina D3. You won't see issues tomorrow or in a month, but will notice problems in 20-30k km.

It's pretty brave to make these statements?
How can you be shure of this?

Let me guess, you do custom remapping for a living?

You didn't guess, sorry

I don't care to be honest whether you have Alpina flash in your car or not. It's your choice. If you are smart enough then you will find information in net what types of injectors (much bigger, same as in 535d) are in D3 and what turbos it has (not single turbo). So how do you think where the power come from, only remamp? . Good luck man.

Anyway do tests as long as you can (or your car is able) and report me if your car still works so good after 6-12 months.

Woha.. Hold your horses. Not single turbo?!

Aha, i see. You think that where talking about the N47 Alpina D3 with dual turbos?
Were not. This is about the early first years M47 single turbo D3.

But ok, injectors are smaller (535D Pre-lci injectors on D3) = engine goes leaner with 320D injector with same opening time. not good.
This probably generates more heat? This is causing stress on turbo and engine internals but i still dont understand how the injectors can die? More heat in combustion chamber?

Car is little less response in the lower RPM free-reving, and idle is not perfect anymore. It misses sometimes. (probably to lean)

Cryptomit knows his stuff. I don't know why u r arguing. Yes early D3 is single turbo but so what. Other hardware as discussed is different.

Have you looked at D3 maps in winols? I suggest you do. Compare it to a good 320d remap and you'll see the differences. 320d turbo will have a much shorter life. I see no value of this flash over a good remap.
