As long as he's the king of OT I Don't mind if he mods the section.

He can always be brought to justice if he takes 'piss

Would we then need a mod for the mod?

Carl,

please mate stop these requets for being a moderator.

all the people on here egging you on are simply taking the piss out of you.

the need for a mod has only come about from the number of random posts...most of these are from you!

I know you mean well but most of the humour of an adult nature goes straight over your head, so how you can moderate beats me.

Please dont take this the wrong way, i like you and stick up for you all the time. The moderators job should not be given to you

Steve.

Stevie A, i Honestly didnt realise I was having the piss taken, another good reason I suppose why I maybe should not be a Moderator ( I dont always realise ). Was just a nice thought I guess.

I understand and have taken your comments on board. I also like you matey, therefore I take your comments in the best way and appreciate your input.

Im off to bed now as i want a few hours kip before I travel into London tonight

Carlos

I'm am taking the piss a bit, but I'm also being serious about the suggestion.

I think you would be an excellent mod of the off topic forum.

It would probably lead you to apply some order to your own posts. whilst keeping everyone else in line and we could never ever fault your enthusiasm.

I wouldn't want to see you mod the main UK forum as that wouldn't be appropriate, but in the off topic forum I think you would be an asset.

1. This will keep Carlos busy and thus reduce the quantities of 'random' posting elsewhere in the forum. We will obviously miss out on some quality threads here, but I feel that we at e90post have broad enough shoulders to cope.

2. Carlos will be 'poacher turned gamekeeper'. He knows how to mess up a thread, so he'll be best placed to prevent other 'lessor' dipsticks from doing likewise.

3. He knows where to find rude smileys - not an essential characteristic of a good mod, but it should ease the tension when dealing with aggressive forum members.

4. He posts more often than any living human. When it comes to commitment Fandango is our man. In fact he should be committed more than anyone I have ever come across.

5. If it wasn't for Carlos we wouldn't have the off topic forum. He should be rewarded for his efforts. Messing up the other threads took considerable time and energy.

Vote Carlos for off topic mod ... you know it makes sense

1 The job would require Carlos to read each & EVERY post within the OT subforum, understand the posts & act upon them accordingly & without bias.
Is this likely to be the case?

2 That's like saying car thieves should be allowed to build the next generation of 'Tracker' themselves.

3 I'm not sure that using after someone has told you to '....f***k right off...', is going to be of much use.

4 Carlos is very committed- I agree, but can you transfer 'commitment to posting', to 'commitment to moderating'?

5 It's true- there wouldn't be an OT section, had it not been for Carlos' fascination with talking sh*te.

With a little 'nurturing', Carlos could make a good OT moderator, but I really don't think the time is quite right, just yet.
