Smokers Package?

When I called BMWNA to doublecheck my order, they said I was getting the smokers package. Anyone know what this is? What does it include/replace?? My dealer had no idea. It wasn't even on his order form.

I have ashtrays in both front and back, and a lighter in front. I never ever smoked inside any of my cars and I haven't seen a lighter in place of a aux outlet in any car for quite a few years now. But I bought my car off the dealer's lot so I don't know if it's an option you can choose or not.

It's a free option in Europe, your car can have it or not depending on the owner's preference... much like a badged or debaged car. If you choose not to have it they'll remove the lighter and ash try and replace it with a recepient for coins or sunglasses etc. However you still keep the female outlet of the lighter to enable you to charge your phone/ipod or your son's gameboy. They'd simply plug it with a plastic cover.

As I checked my order form I also see it since I did not specify to have it removed.

even if you are never going to use it its good to have cos when you want to sell the car in the future you cater for a wider variety of people to buy the car.
when i say sell the car i mean when the next three series comes out in 7 years time cos its a lovely car and i wont sell before that.
