Alarm Lock Audio Confirmation

Just wondering if anyone on here have the ability to turn this on

Had it on my e46 and my Leon and found it very useful so hoping to turn it on again.

It says in the handbook that you can program audio confirmation but that the facility is removed in certain markets where local legislation prohibits it.

Have you actually tried the setting in the iDrive / BC?

You sure you want that? I thought they turned it off as default because it made thieves target your car more?

I believe that for the British market this is not an option to programmer and the dealer cant do so either as it does not show on the programmer software.

Indeed - audible alarm set confirmation was removed from production cars in 1998ish - if Audi are anything to go by.

It maybe has been removed from VAG cars but can be switched on, a programme called VAG.com allows it to be turned on through the OBD port. Doesn't help with the E9x though sorry!

Its not legal to have this enabled on UK cars anymore.

TBH in my view its not needed and its facking annoying when some twat comes home at night and bleeps waking the street up.

Matter of opinion I have little nephews who no matter where you hide keys always find them and its a great prompt to get them back when you hear the beep, plus no mention a lot easier to know you locked the car.

Its only illegal as some numpty in brussels decided, feature is blocked in all EU cars but even on my e46 and also old VAG took about 5 min to enable.

Small thing but in my case usefull
