Road test for 335d...remap ordered!
Hi All,
This may sound like an odd(ish) request but bear with me. I am looking for some tests I can do in my 335d that will allow me to compare the car as it stand now (original) against the map that I have ordered (Evolve Switch). So won't be dyno'd to be able to do comparison. I am assuming the easiest are 0-60, 70-100 times etc. Reset all the MPGs to see if fuel economy improves. But anything else you can think off? Unit arrives tomorrow (fingers crossed) so should be mapped and sorted by Saturday. I'm soo excited. Even more of bavaria's finest horses to play with in my beast. Many Thanks Andy |

If you got an iphone you can do a cheap, probably not massively accurate test using the free Rev Lite software.

Itis innacurate doing it that way mate, you might not use exaclty the same space of road etc.
Drag strip has FIA timing gear (Santa Pod) and will give very accurate 1/4mile times and MPH... For example, i did 13.9@101.5mph standard... Dont know of ANY other 335d getting into the 13's standard, close 14.0 etc. I have now done a 13.0@105.8mph.

For once, I have to agree with Carl about using Santa Pod or similar drag strip to do your comparisons pre and post map. Not only is the timing data accurate, but it's also a place where you can get to 100mph safely without fear of police, traffic, or other hazards.
