After having the X5 and now the M3 I am very impressed by what BMW is doing in the driving dynamics department. Believe they are are close if not on par with most tech/luxury items and when you throw in the driving experience, game over...

Agree. They just doing well. Looking forward to the next gen of X5/X6.

I don't think I could ever part with my ///M. If life is good maybe I can buy an f model ///M or just save the pennies for an ///M5 but still keep the my M3.

But of course there is no "truth" in these sorts of things, unless you want to think of everyone else that bought an A4 or a C-class as stupid. People just have different tastes, and I think the 3er is in a very competitive class where all of its competitors are genuinely good cars. Have you looked at the updated C class interior?

The reason that the 3er does so well with C&D is that it happens to meet the institutional taste of that magazine very well, which I think tends to go for "refined but connected". On the flip side, it doesn't do well with Consumer Reports (yes, this is a chance to bash CR and show the world that you are a true car enthusiast) at all, even though they love the G37. Different priorities.

Not that I disagree with C&D that much, after all I think all of my previous cars were on the 10Best list at one point or another.

Garage List
2011 BMW 335i  [0.00]
I had an A5 for a year, and its a lovely car. It all boils down to personal opinion, since they are very similar in performance, materials, and style. I always wanted the BMW though coupe, though.

I do not mean to insult other bimmer drivers, but I cannot see myself owning anything other than a 3 series. The 3 series is fish to Jesus.

Surprise surprise. It's almost unfair to other car makers. But hey, when you are the best it's hard for other to keep up (even if it is after 22 years of trying) LOL

I don't even think of the Pending f30 nor any other car.

I really like this car and plan on driving it for while.

Im happy, no mods, no turbo. Just the factory sport, 6 MT speeds and the joy of the suspension and the dynamaics of this car.

The car is wonderful!

I'll want an F30 one day, but until then, I am happy.

No lease, no lci, no mods, no turbo, no loan, no CPO, no warranty, no problems........52k miles.

we should all take note

I'd still love to get my hands on an E92 M3 though... want that V8!
I've got an e46 325iT, with a 5 speed and a sports package (and rear wheel drive with snow tires). Push come to shove for the kind of driving I do--shuttling two teens around, periodic long drives with four adult size passengers, a golden retriever and a Yakima box--there isn't a car made at any price that I'd rather have, day in and day out.
Now if there were an M3 wagon....

Hope my e90 m3 lasts at least 10yrs. I worry about the DCT holding up, sometimes.

Love it. But, almost wish I could trade it for an e30. Such a classic machine!

I'm curious, as to why you buy or lease a car that you can't afford.

Long live BMW!! That 3 series generation pic reminded me. This is what our shops parking lot looked like today. A little bit of everything.

I shouldn't have said "afford." I meant the payments on a lease are easier to pay than financing. But I can afford the car, that's not the problem.
