New Tires
So I'm looking to replace the original RFTs on my 06 330i w/ Sport Package. I really don't like the RFTs; that said, I'd be willing to try the latest and greatest RFTs if they have improved. If not the RFTs, any recommendations on another tire?

Michelin PS2 ZP are much better riding than the OEM Bridgestones. And no tramlining with the PS2s.

IMHO i like the RFT's i never had traction problems with them and the ride is not bad. The 1 and only thing i hate about them is hitting potholes with them IT SUCKS!! feels like someone planted a land mine in the frikin things.

I didn't mind the original ZSP RFTs (Potenzas) either but I switched to PS2 ZP with my second set and I've been very pleased.

I would not recommend the Hankook Ventus V12 if you drive your car hard. Great price, but they do not perform as well as the OEM RFT Potenzas. If you are going to drive a performance car...and have the $$$ to put on Potenzas or PS2s...do it!
I have about 4k miles on my Hankooks. I run with DTC on nearly all the time because the Hankooks lose traction way to early, traction control kicks in, and I stop accelerating unil the tires dig in. That's very frustrating. The only thing I didn't like about the Potenzas was the harsh ride a bit of road noise...and the price. Small sacrifice for great handling and amazingly sharp turn in. You truly get what you pay for. A $1500 set of tires is going to perform much better than a $800 set. |

+1 on the Michelin PS2 ZP from Discount tire. Love the tires, they're grippy and don't feel like solid rubber like the stockers. They have a free replacement package on them. Saved me 800 bucks one tire had a warp and other a nail in it, both replaced for free and they even UPSed me the second one because they're aren't any in Kansas City. .
