FEELER: 18" Volk Racing LE28n
Been contemplating selling my wheels so thought i'd post up a feeler. Specs and info are as follows: Volk LE28n - Gunmetal 18x8.5 +30 all around Weight: 17lbs Center Bore: 73 Construction: Forged Monoblock This is a custom one of a kind set of Volk LE28n's. These wheels are limited edition and were discontinued 4..5 years ago. They only came in 5x114 bolt pattern. I had them professionally drilled to fit the bmw bolt pattern (5x120). I know a lot of people dont understand drilling and may get turned away. But drilling the wheel does not compromise the wheels structural integrity in any way. Many big name wheel companies actually re-drill their wheels to other bolt patterns as well before selling. These are the one and only set of LE28's to be on a BMW. Great for track wheels (which is what i bought them for in the first place), or maybe those that have harsh winters and need a set of super strong winter wheels. Why buy reps for $1000+ when you can get a set of FORGED Volk Racing wheels for a little bit more! The wheels are in good condition. All stickers are present and look brand new. Their is slight curb rash on 2 of the wheels (can be fixed at buyers expense). Wheels will come with the limited edition caps, as well as your choice of BNIB Rays Blue or Rays Black valve stems. Im looking for $1300 OBO picked up (Socal). May ship at buyers expense if i dont get any bites locally. Ill try to get some close up photos of the wheels if their is any interest. But heres some photos on the car to give you an idea of how it looks. |

That can be arranged. I'll sell the rims with TPMS wrapped with Kumho Ecsta MX for $1700. Figure, i want 1300 for the wheels, TPMS is $200 so that means im only charging $200 for tires. I think thats pretty fair. Last edited by LOLrance; 03-03-2009 at 12:32 AM.. |

Did you pick up those RE01R's for dirt cheap when tire rack had the sale? I wanted a set as well but they were sold out of 255/35/18 almost instantly. Quote:
On the street, i will say you probably wont notice that big of a difference. But if you push it hard enough through corners, you will notice that the car is less prone to understeering now. Its noticeably easier to rotate the car. Did i mention how nice it is to be able to rotate tires? hahaha Thanks Andrew. Yea, if you guys want a set of Invos instead of my Ecsta MX on there, that can be arranged as well. Car manufacturers deem it safer for a car to understeer, so almost ALL cars are setup this way from the factory. To counteract that, you go with a square setup to help neutralize the car. The last thing you want is a car to just push through the corners, you want the car to be able to rotate. When driven hard enough, the different between staggered and non staggered is night and day. |
