Okay this might be a stupid question but according to the manual it says that by connecting the iPod to the audio system with the use of an AUX cable, the name of the song would be displayed and one is capable of changing songs through the audio system. but how come I can't do this? did i miss something or am i doing something wrong??

I think you need to get buy the USB Audio Integration option. You can only play the songs from your iPod if connected by an AUX cable.

Thx Litte_croco, I just got a pdf version of online manual from this forum. It does mention the break-in period.

Break-in period
Moving parts need breaking-in time to adjust to
each other. Please follow the instructions below
in order to achieve the optimal service life and
economy of operation for your vehicle.
Engine and differential
Always obey all official speed limits.
Up to 1,200miles/2,000 km
Attempt to vary both engine and vehicle
speeds, but refrain from exceeding an engine
speed of 4,500 rpm or a driving speed of
100 mph or 160 km/h.
Avoid full-throttle operation and use of the
transmission's kick-down mode.
After 1,200 miles/2,000 km
Engine and vehicle speeds can be gradually
increased.

You have plan on what kind of mod you are wanting or still doing research? I would suggest you join the coming meet to have chats with the brothers for their sharing.

Watch out the other HK thread for the coming up details of the meet.

Hope seeing you soon.

You will need to take out the black inner plastic fenders to gain access to the fog lamp bulbs

Thanks RD =)

one more thing... I've got my PIAA rear number plate LEDs few days ago... I've also ordered the thing from PIAA that keeps the bulb warning light in the dash off (the part that keeps the voltage right) how ever I've only ordered 1 since the shop in Japan said so. Do I need 2 ? as the workshop in HK said I need 2 for the wirings. If only 1 is needed which workshop can do it ?

Cheers =)

I am not sure, maybe you can try to install it first, if the warning comes on, then for sure you will need another one

hi there,

I suggest you not to buy that PH-158 error cancellation thing.....it is just a HK$1.5 resistor with some fancy plastic shell

I bought one, but ended up didn't use it....

Anyways, you only need one piece.

I bought two 39ohm resistors (one for spare) for my PIAA H-492 license plate LED, and now I still have one left. I can give it to you if you want. Come out next HK meet.

It's the 6FL Option. It comes with a USB port in additional to AUX. With that you can see all the song titles and categories on the iDrive screen and use the knob to display and pick songs. No need to see or touch the iPod at all. You can also use the USB port to see, control, and play music from USB sticks, external hard drives, or any kind of USD storage device.
