My e92 got broken into :'(

Sh*t guys! This happened to me tonight at around 5pm in front of one of the high-rises near Patterson station. I was parked in a fairly well lit spot while there was still daylight, ppl around etc... and I returned to find that some crackhead broke into my bimmer

Still so distraught can't even focus on this game, haha.

I had nothing visible. All the a-hole got away with was a few misc items (notepad, flashlight, so forth) and my iPod nano - but at least it was 1st gen, lol

There were a couple witnesses and the cops eventually showed up. They took my iPod charger to run finger prints against and might have spotted the guy. If you know a dude with a white/grey/black snowboard jacket send them my way...

Just shows u always gotta be careful. This validates my point of being very anal about where I park. Some scum bag always waiting for an opportunity. Anyways, here are some pics

what a bummer bro, to be honest, this can happen anywhere. its good to be cautious in choosing parking but when a crackhead see's someone he want's he's just going to take it.

One guy heard the alarm go off so at least it works! The real sucky part is that there's a bit of paint damage probably due to the glass debris, so I've gotta bring it in to get repainted.

Insurance will cover all but I'm still out of pocket $300 for the deductible. ARGH!

my buddies 5series got his window pried but they failed to gain access and then proceeded to his buddies 335 by smashing the window... there was nothing to take! this was in the coquitlam area. I had my windows pried also

Ask your body shop to check for any damage on the seats from the broken glass. I had my car broken into a couple years ago and some of the glass damaged my seat and ICBC had to repair it.

Everytime leave my car somewhere I make it a point that there is nothing on the seat or dash.

There's always high risk near the skytrain stations.. crackheads love to hang around there. I would only park in secured areas.

Nope, only thing visible were some empty drink cups, mc donalds garbage, napkins, that type of junk lol. Normally I'm so paranoid I don't leave anything at all in sight... like even a used tissue.

Me too. I've since found out it's pretty common for them to do this, but yeah atm I was a lil surprised. I thought maybe they were trying extra hard to help me lol.

I know eh!! Funny thing is just the day before I signed up to have my nano replaced and was waiting for the package to mail it back... guess that's not gonna happen now, haha. But I needed an excuse to replace the thing, it was getting friggin old :P
