Chad has done a few mods for me. He is very experienced with modding bimmers . He's very honest and upfront, so I trust him with my after market mods.

from me personally, i took my car there for a couple of things:

fender rolling
BMW perfomance SSK
RE Ikon exhaust

fender rolling was soso
the SSK was good for me.

the exhaust was what really got me a little pissed off.
he welded the exhaust to high up and to 'stcking out' from the bumper. it ended up melting a bit of the bumper. took it back and he said all that he can do is try and lower it and said that it was the exhausts problem (i was kinda pissed when i heard that) but anyways, he did try lower it and its okay now, but the exhaust still sticking out a bit, looking at the rubber hanger can really tell taht the position is wrong. didn't want to waste time to go back there so i jsut left it like that.

another thing is when i asked him to help me do the resonator delete, quoted me for $180 and 1hr+ of labour time.
took it to a chain sotre muffler shop, $80 total and only wiated for 20 mins, i doubt there is a big different from where i got it done and by Stett.
not trying to talk $hit bout Stett though, just sharing my experience as requested.

I have a hard time with "I have heard a lot of bad things about them". He worked on my 335 many times and I had nothing but positive outcomes. If you did hear all this bad you may ask exactly what was so bad. My .02

you can watch me work, as much as i dont like it, i dont mind it either.

ask 01bird, i installed a bunch of stuff for him and he has not had any issues. we knocked it all out in the same day as well.

with stett...god only knows when you MIGHT get your stuff back.

i swapped motors in my M5 in a weekend, he cant even install an exhaust in 2 weeks.
