Did you get a solution just yet for the ipod connectivity issue? I'm looking into the same jsut now?

Hiya

Well it seems 2 options. Dension 500 or OEM retrofit intergration. Both require dealer to do the coding on them. From what I've read it seems the OEM retrofit is a little quicker than the Dension.. Expect to pay from £250-300 for the retrofit kit, plus whatever the coding is likely to cost.

Yeah thats the outcome of what I've found as well. Apparently if you have a cd changer fitted the dension is just plug and play.

Oh and the BMW retrofit can be had for £216 from Cotswold bmw, go to the bmwland forums and they have a section where Cotswold BMW gives good discounts.

Kool! I work in the Car Audio industry so for me this is going to be a must. Might have a friend of a friend who can do the coding will find out later tonight

I find the "baby on board" signs useful. It warns me of a possible door attack, a parking ding, when some less than careful owner has flung their door open as wide as possible, whilst extracting little Ryan. I know to give them a wide birth (no pun intended)
