My rebuilt ECU arrived this morning. Going to install it either tonight or this weekend. So far I've only spent about £400 repairing it (but that's £200/wk, so I hope it doesn't continue that way!!)

Thought I'd post a couple images of my car, now that it's back up and running again!
And yes, I'm aware it needs a wash!

Hi, thought i'd introduce myself.
I've has my E90 Olympic 2012 edition for just over a week. A complete change from owning Vauxhalls for over 20 years, but as nothing from the Griffin stable floats my boat anymore and needing a larger car than my Astra Twintop. As my wife has an R55 Mini Clubman and having diagnostic equipment to look after that, the obvious choice was a BMW and the 3 Series ticked a lot of boxes, so bought it. Love it so far. desperately need to fit my Pioneer headunit into it though. |

Picked up my first beemer last week. It’s a 2010 320d SE business edition in “bluewater”. Pretty pleased so far, mainly with the economy. I’ve come from a Renaultsport Clio 182, so quite the contrast. The Clio forums have been invaluable, so I’m hoping for much the same here!

Mornin all, in the process of becoming an owner of an 05 325i SE. Put a deposit down last week but due to my shift work the seller has kindly (at his huge inconvenience) will drop it off to me tomorrow.
I've been wanting to go back to bmw ownership since my last one in 2008, been through many cars with 1 setting a benchmark and the rest being dismal. Went to see 9 cars last week, 5 e90's, 2 E91's and 2 Honda accords both 2.4. This car drove the best, handled the best, had the specifications I was looking for & had the engine I was looking for, the 2.5 N52. Came back hpi clear, did my checks on engine etc, seems an honest car and has good service history. Its a gunmetal grey colour, will post up pics when I have them, have just this 1 for now. Looking forward to contributing and becoming part of the bmw community again! Cheers, Harry. |

Hi everyone!
New member here from just outside Bristol. New to the BMW scene. Just got myself an E90 320d for a nice family runaround. Looking forward to learning lots from here and getting stuck into a little bit of DIY and TLC that the car deserves. Cheers all! Eren (NASSSY) |

Hi, E90 330i N52 owner here.
The car is all stock but some interesting options were specified from new, like the Adaptive Cruise which I gather is quite rare for a 2007 car. BMW by Robert Seymour, on Flickr |

Evening all,
Recently I've decided to buy myself a 320si with 42k miles on the clock as a daily driver/commuter. Loving the car even with some of the teething pains its going through (garage kept by previous owner with little usage) Hopefully the vast knowledge on the forum will help with this rarity, maintenance, overhauls etc etc... Lets hope the piston linings hold out!! |

Hello everyone,
After enjoying a v6 Mondeo ST220 since may (and fixing her up) i thought i'd buy another car that was slightly more economical than the 24.9mpg i'm currently getting. So this brings me here. I managed to find a 2006 BMW 320i M Sport for £865 with 93k on the clock and has flown through every MOT its had, except last year where it had a couple of advisories. Its had 7 previous owners, theres scuff marks to the front bumper but its nothing a respray and a bit of tender loving care will fix. It had both front and rear lights heavily tinted which was removed straight away as it looked horrible. The black grill is staying as i prefer the look to be honest. Also may have bought a 2006 318d ES with 83k on the clock for £900 at the same time. Don't ask me why. But anyway looking forward to gaining some knowledge and finding out why im getting loads of errors saying various parts of the electrical system are overloaded >18 volts. |

Prospective e93 owner signing in...
Circumstances dictate I need a 4 seater now, so am selling my beloved Merc SLK. I find myself in love with e93s and have been using the site to find out all about them and the E90 series in general and found there was great info here so i joined.
Anyway, after mucho reading, I've decided I want a 330i and found one locally which I hope to get. Its an 07 330i SE with just over 50k. I was about to buy it but he had to remove his private plate and now we've had to wait for the new V5 to come through, but it was done on Saturday and DVLA normally get the V5s out in aday or two when its done online. So I'm impatiently waiting on a phone call. Main plan is to drive it, but would like to tint the back 3 windows, paint the silver wheels to a graphite sort of colour and I'd love a dual exit exhaust like 335s have, but think I have a solid bumper,so cant change the diffuser? Ill do something with the exhaust as I love to hear a 6 pot singing! That's enough waffle from me, see you on the forums! |

Hello All
I've recently acquired what the seller has told me is the only N55 Manual Touring in the country. I'm not sure if that is true but I haven't seen any others mentioned anywhere in the last few weeks of looking at threads about 335i tourings. Only had it a few days and I think its amazing, very impressed. Looking forward to fixing all the little things that need sorting over the next year or so with everyone's help. |
