330i Wheel Question
Hi Guys,
I have a 2006 330i without the sport package but I want to put the staggered wheels and tires on the car. Is this possible? WIll my speedo still read the correct MPH? Will it affect the RFT system? Would I have to do anything to the car to allow this to happen? Thanks In Advance For Your Time! Ted Lambert |

search in the wheel forum, lots of good posts there. In short, no problems if you put the exact same wheels and tire sizes on. if you dont use RFTs then yea, it will affect it :|

Non-RFT's will NOT affect the system.
2006 330i's do not have TPM sensors. The flat tire warning is based on changes in rotational acceleration seen when a tire goes flat. The car senses this and gives a warning. Plenty have changed to non-RFT's without problems. Just reset the system when you put on new tires. BTW: non-sprt doesn't have a staggered set-up? That's news to me. Learn something new everyday!

I have a 330i and i just changed to non-RFT. The light came on, i used the reset button and the warning went away. No problems at all.

Interesting, what is the widest kind of tires you can fit on the staggered 330i rims?

255 is about the optimum width for a 8.5" rim. if you want to go over that, its fine, but you start working outside of its range. Search on that as well, any have done larger widths than 255 on the stock rear rim
