out of all your pics: i only saw the advan RGII in 17 inch.
i live in a developing country with alot of pot holes - and i need a STRONG set of lighter weight rims (very STRONG for the potholes and on the light side for performance).
when i say strong - i need strong cause i have bent and fixed 3 rims in the last 9 months.

what else you have in 17 inch for my e93 ??
i probably need 17 x 8 front and 17 x 9 rear.

thanks

we have not done any 17" on the E93.
there are some fitments out there like the 17 - 8.5 Advan RS, but i don't even know if they fit (clearance issues with brakes).

you are actually the first person to ask me about 17" wheels...

Kudos for doing this... very informative!!!

1) Should definitely be stickied.

2) It would be even more helpful if there was an index of wheels you've weighed, at the top of the 1st post. That way peeps would know whether a particular wheel of interest is somewhere to be found in the thread.

TIA.

Wow, the Forgestar F14 weighs the same as the Alufengen SF-71.

Not what I would have expected...

Totally the opposite. The SF-71 weights the same as the F-14 which is flow-formed. 23.8lbs is very light for a cast wheel.

Are those Advan RZ's available in E90 offsets? Either in 18 or 19" sizes?

Not sure what you thought I was saying, but to be clear, I was impressed with the light weight of the SF-71s.

We were impressed ourselves the same way. Your statement sounded like the F-14 were as heavy as the SF-71, when the SF-71 are in fact as light as the F-14, which are flow-formed.

When we first designed the SF-71 it took us about 3 months to tweak every single detail. Running dozens of hours in FEA to make them as light as possible yet certified to 1600lbs or 727kg. Light and strong and affordable. You can't beat that. The lip size, spoke thickness, spoke depth, concavity... everything affects the final weight. We did some very clever tweaks in the spokes that actually helps reduce the weight. Same tweaks you see on the HRE race wheels.

Not impressed at all about the F14 which are forged wheels. True though they are cheap.
Alufelgen gets thumb up for the weight of their new model though. Really nice a lightweight cast wheel.

Good to know. Great product!

And since we're on the subject, when can we expect the SF-71 in 18" fitments?

F14 is not forged. It's flowformed (face is gravity cast). The company name is forgestar, it confuses most people.
