I think my coil is bad, CPO cover this ?

I believe a coil in my 06 325xi has gone bad. This car seems to hate the cold weather.

My question is the CPO warranty going to cover the coil ? I get the putter/vibration/misfire behavior that many describe when a coilpack goes bad.

Also if I ask to update the software for the car, is that free or is there a fee ?

Thanks. If these are redundant questions, my apologies, I did try to search and didnt get conclusive information.

I'm not entirely sure, but I was told that the CPO warranty covers anything essential to driving minus friction and wear material. I would think that coils are essential to driving and falls under this category.

Actually, I recall a pamphlet that was given to me with my car which laid out what was covered and what wasn't. I just cant find it at the moment.

I just had my coil replaced as well. And CPO is covered ...

But it sux. This is 3rd time I had it replaced and it's always happened in Winter. I noticed that my valve cover head gasket leak for the second also... all happened in winter.
