Just ordered my AA catless down Pipes. I hope I still get a quicker spool/power and maintain the nice stock sound or close to it.

Word of advice though: don't accidentally break the clamp when taking off the stockers... it's a pita to be stuck without a car until the dealership opens and you can buy a new one... for $44
+1 on this. I have to wait several days as the dealer does not carry these in stock. AA downpipes are great. Next week, i'll remove my VK and install the AA 3".

Your sig says you're in Texas? Note that I last bought a clamp from BMW of Austin. They have them in stock and only charged $20 for them. Worth mentioning to your dealership just in case they try to screw you on price like Momentum did with me

A v band clamp can be grabbed in a hurry at any tune shop. Even a jap turbo shop should have vibrant v-band clamp upgrades with a buckle for less than the stock set up if you find yourself with a busted clamp and your not near a dealership.

The AA pipes look awesome. AFE has a set out now too that look good. The AA brackets are a nice touch and should help keep pipes from rattling against anything down there too. $550 for brand new pipes sounds like a winner.

This isn't the right size but a tune shop should have this in stock in your size if you are impatient like me! Its something I will eventually do weather my clamps break or not.

Thanks, this happened in December of last year and it was in Philly. The dealer quote me $40+ tax and the clamp arrived in about two days. I removed the stock VK dps because I have to take it to the dealer for maintenance. My car did not function several days (Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue).
This time when i remove the dps, i'll not try to bend the clamp too hard. Those sucker can break so easy.

The BMW clamps are very skinny on the top. I tried some general clamps from a shop and they wouldn't fit around the turbo at the top because of the lack of room

thanks man I know I've been holding off on buying them and I really regret that. Honestly, I just really couldn't believe that a pair of pipes would really make a difference until I saw for myself.
Could i put the catless downpipes on a stock 335xi with a jb4 or do you think I need to get the car tuned first

The AA pipes are not for XI's. For an XI you need the ar design pipes as they have a special XI fitment.

You can put the DPs on first, but the better option is to get the JB4 first and then do DPs.

Once I install these when my engine light comes on how can I clear it using my COBB? Diagnose engine code then clear?

Can someone give me a brief run down!

I'm also going to be installing mine in the next two weeks once I receive them. Super excited!

I want to change out my exhaust but it seems like I should start with a cat back before I get down pipes. So many choices I can't make up my mind.

Do you guys have trouble getting the v clamps done up on these pipes .... I found the flanges were wider then the oem pipes and had to modify them as per my post at http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=538822
