I paid probably over the odds for mine in some eyes, but it's exactly what I wanted so therefore most will stretch a little further.

To be fair, if you compare prices on here to prices on eBay then it tends to be cheaper buying from people here.

The only things that go for what seem to be silly prices are rare items, but paying a premium for rare items is standard anywhere really.

All forums are the same, but some times you can get bargains (parts not cars)

I tried to sell my car for ages & had no interest, but I don't personally think it's over priced?

I have seen the same. 3xxd with 7k of mods on it for 7k more than a stock car. anyone willing to buy it could buy a stock car and do it themselves from scratch anyway so makes the car not as special.

But if someone wants to pay the money then thats great for the seller. So depends how you look at it.

I thought people only joined E90 post to sell their Apple devices?

Some of the cars are fairly priced, but still hard to sell on a BMW forum, while some are miles over. The threads often get out of hand with niggles though.

Sometimes sensible advice is ignored.

There has been people fight against the advice and can't shift their car at all. I've no idea how after countless months, and further depreciation, they still don't manage to click all the time they are digging their heels in they are losing even more money.

The advice that has always been given on any car forum I've been on, car modifications add very little value to a car.

It all gets a bit mental when guys expect their cars are worth more than newer, lower mileage cars that a higher up the range.

They often make M3s look cheap.

It's there choice at the end of the day.

The price is what people will buy it for? While it is free to place ads on these forums people will not think to clearly and sensibly about the price they want.

If however a fee was taken for each for sale thread people would be more considerate on their pricing.

BTW, i have a Galaxy S5 for sale anybody interested in buying it PM me for details it will save me the Fleabay hassle

Sellers want top dollar and buyer want to pay peanuts = no sale and end up on eBay.

I agree with above. Spend 7k modding and ask 7k more when selling is not how to make a sale.

Only if you want your BBK to go for around £400. methinks you would laugh at that Josh!

To be honest I am finding it tricky to even buy anything. Would very much like to hand someone a pile of cash for their E92 trim but so far a few people have PM'd me saying they are going to send some photos or details over of their trim and then just never heard anything back. Not even got as far as talking about price yet.

its like cogs turn really slow or something, go figure

It seems like LCI money though but youve got some very nice mods so i dont think youll have a prob selling

Also you got that RS3 yet? would love some pics. those launch controls on them are breathtaking

I was up against one in my old R32 DSG and we both had launch on, he left me for dead.
It's now back to stock-ish and open to offers around £13,500 which I think is really reasonable considering condition, history and mods left on.

RS3 will be here 3rd November onwards, assuming I don't change my mind and buy a new shape S3.....Oh and I hear you on the Launch Control, it's insanely good, although not very mechanically sympathetic.

Didn't that one sell for a completely overpriced 14.5K the other day? Did the buyer realise what they had done lol.
