And powdercoating doesn't seem to phase the guys at brembo, stoptech and wilwood.

I agree that a bad powdercoat job can be detrimental to brake performance. However, this one was top notch and was confirmed by Goldline brakes which indicated that this was one of the thinnest, most uniform powdercoat jobs they had ever seen.
