Who has nitrous?
Ok, I have the new AA xede, top speed removed, with 14lbs of boost until redline, and a switch in my glovebox, that when i switch it with 100 octance, somewhere around 18lbs until redline. I have my own custom exhaust, with 2 2.5" pipes all the way back, and NO cats in my downpipes. The car is still too slow. What kind of nitrous can it hold? My 2005 e46 m3 was AA stg3+. Stock it was 270rwhp, with the s/c, it was 455rwhp, and I put a 150+wet shot, and the car is still running with the same setup. Sooo, the car is strong, is the 335 strong?

That is true, but he didnt have the amount of boost that I am pushing. So, that is the question, will it hold?
Riss Racing--I see you guys have downpipes, sorry I couldnt get yours, but I had mine made. How can I get the CEL light off the car? Please help. I have my own shop in south FLA, and If you could be so kind to help me, I would gladly spill your name and company everywhere! |

Or, you could use nitrous too. NOS, NAWSS, NAHSSSS, I guess it's all the same, just bugs me when people use NOS as a universal acronym for nitrous considering NOS is just a company that makes nitrous systems.
I honestly think you'll be fine with a 50-75 shot on whatever boost you want to run. That small of a shot will probably make it LESS prone to knock due to the cooling. I think you'll run into major fuel puddleing issues with a wet kit over 100 shot on this intake manifold design...........and there's no HFM to spray through so a dry kit will be tricky too. That pretty much leaves a custom direct port system which would be the way to go anyway. My guess is that a properly tuned N54 could swallow a 100-150 shot all day long......and scatter tranny and diff parts all over the place all day long too :rocks:

Buy an LS3 Vette instead and do a H&C setup!
Kidding aside, try it on stock boost first and see what happens. I don't see why the motor can't hold a 150 wet shot. Hopefully the fuel pump keeps up (or put a Walbro on it) and when the heads start separating from the block, dial it back a tad. :P

+1, I'm pretty sure I recalled it being a 75.
I ran a 50 shot on my prelude for years. Never really thought about it on this car yet. OP, whats your car laying down on 100 octane?
