ArthurL's Progress Thread

After lurking around the forums for a few months.. I finally took delivery of a 2007 335i this afternoon from a fellow member here on e90post.

Some pictures of my other car, an 05 Acura TL, which I'm currently returning back to stock:

Here she is:

To give a little background on the car.. it was previously owned by an older gentleman who was also a member of the BMW CCA and a fellow car enthusiast. This was his daily driver.

A few weeks ago I had one of the members here, Clem, inspect it. The car checked out.. the rest was history.

Congrats man, I plan on doing something similar, returning it back to stock and getting ready to make the jump to a 335

I had her tinted this afternoon at The Tint Shop out in Long Island, NY. Joe is a great guy and his prices are pretty fair especially since he uses 3M FX Premium tints. No bubbles whatsoever. Highly recommended!

Congrats on the pickup. I used to be on AZ as well and made the jump to a 335. Best decision ive ever made, this car is worlds different.

I actually had alot done to my tl. At one point I had xlr8 quads and rotora bbk etc. The pic below was my last stage right after full repaint.

Thanks, I knew your username looked familiar! When did you make the jump?

My father sat in the car yesterday and said wow, this definitely feels much nicer than the TL.

I did it around October. My tl had like 145k miles and someone offered me 10k so I took it.

Everything feels more well built than the Acura, rightly so. What plans do you have for mods

Another update!

I took the car to the dealer because of wastegate rattle problems. I bought the car knowing about this btw but I knew about the 82K extended warranty on the turbos. The SA told me they were going to probably swap out the wastegates, a week later he came back to me saying it still rattles and they need to replace the turbos.. another week passes by and my car has new turbos!

Picked her up yesterday from the dealership and she drives great!

I immediately went ahead and installed the blacked out kidney grilles

Then I found a pretty nice deal on a set of 219Ms, picked these babies up this evening after work

I'm running the stock M3 sizes @ 245/40/18f and 265/40/18r. It rubbed a good amount while driving home with the extra wheels in the rear but once I took it off it only rubbed on big dips and big bumps. I'm on stock sport suspension as well. I love the beefy tire look, the 219M wheels looks super aggressive on the non-Ms.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the compliments, everyone.

I strong urge to continue modding her but I have to stop myself. I think I'm pretty happy with how she sits now.. might get the rears fenders rolled a bit.

I like the blacklines but there's another mod I have in mind that isn't compatible with the blacklines heh
