Question Used dual cone intake - - worth it?

Hi Everyone,

I am just getting into the modding scene and I want to purchase a dual cone intake 2nd hand. Should I be wary of miles traveled on it? Would you say a 33% reduction in price is worth the 40k miles traveled on it? Or should I just go with something new?

Really appreciate any feedback anyone could offer me.

Thanks so much!

i like the security of having new stuff. 40k miles seems like a lot for only 33% less though.

I would buy the BMS DCI. Only about $100 brand new. If you wanted one like AFE, Stett, UR, etc. and don't want to pay 300+ then used shouldn't be an issue as long as its not broken. Also remember you can clean dirty cones or buy a new cone.

As long and the filters aren't damaged just get a recharge kit and clean them they will be fine

There's probably a reason it's being replaced

I don't see the point in saving $20-30 when you'll just need to buy a new set in another few thousand miles, especially when they're only $95. Most of our DCI sales have been from people replacing their old busted up filters.
