Will an X-Pipe reduce drone? (E90)

Hi All,

I've just had a gthaus meisterschaft (race?) axel back installed on my e90 (N54) and while idle, WOT and downshifting sounds great, it's a little too loud / drones at cruising speeds (1800 - 2600rpm). Being an AT makes it worse as it sounds like a shagged set of bagpipes..

Given that it's an E90, it has a stock resonator in place. I also have AR catless DP's; however the rest of the exhaust remains stock.

Any suggestions to reduce the drone at cruising speeds?

1. Will replacing the resonator with a X or H pipe help or make it worse?
2. Replace secondary cats with resonators
3 Add a x or h pipe - in addition to the stock resonator
4. Sell it - If it's too loud I'm clearly too old!

Thanks!
