I'm guessing stage 2 tunes will require an open intake? I was hoping for a full exhaust (TBE) and FMIC only stage 2 map...

I have a SSTT installed on my car, how much driving time should I do after I uninstall the piggy before flashing with the cobb? Will it even matter?

Look a few pages back, it mentions intake as a mod on the beta tests. Honestly, a DCI is by far the cheapest part of the stage 2 bolt ons. $800 for a fmic, $500-$800 for DPs(or $200 is you don't care about the name) and just $100 for the DCI

To Cobb:

if stage 2 is just increased boost and tuned ignition and fuel (which would take 4-6 hours on a dyno on any other platform) what is taking so damn long? Is it the fact you guys are having trouble holding boost up top?

This platform is not the easiest to work with which probably explains the delay in their initial stage 1 and stage 2.

Any other platform increasing boost is easy as 1 2 3. Other platforms you can add ignition boost and fuel in a couple hour dyno session and be on your merry way.

Wouldnt hurt to have an intake. The stock box is very restrictive at high boost which in turn causes elevated wastegate duty cycles. It would behoove anyone looking at stage 2 to have some intake, preferably one which breathes cooler air.

LOL, "cooler air" is why I've hesitated on the DCI style intakes... I know Stett makes a cold air intake, but that's also some serious $$.

Ya the stett is a nice piece. There is always a MR 5 DIY Cold air intake.

I run methanol so I just need the turbo's to breath better over the stock intake so the DCI is plenty.

Well its the closes official thing Cobb has said, and you can't prove that Stage 2 won't be needing it. Therefore, I win! lol

I bought my Stett from Jeff @ TopGearSolutions and will say that I don't regret it for a second. It isn't the cheapest way (Mr 5 is probably the best bang for the buck), but it works.

...the only regret I have is not getting it anodized in some crazy color.

Actually, that might not be so desireable as the intake gets all kinds of attention as it is at the track when the hoods open after a run.
