VPC and Performance Delivery question?

Does anyone know how long does it take to prepare the car at VPC if I'm doing Performance Delivery. I guess they do VPC at the Greenville SC plant.

My car is ready waiting for a vessel in Germany. I guess it is going to be at least 3 weeks to get to SC. But I don't have any idea how long it is going to take on VPC since I'll pick it up there.

Does anyones know how flexible they are scheduling the PD. I have to do it on a Friday or Monday because I can not take more than one day off.

You should have a performance delivery date by now...... It is a reserved date for your pickup that you get from your salesman.............

What is your arrival date at the Marriott in Greenville?

You should already have a PC delivery date. They contact you to arrange a date (assuming your salesman submitted the paperwork). For a date other than what they specify in the initial contact, you may have to delay delivery for a few weeks...especially if you want a Friday or Monday.

They haven't told me anything about possible PC delivery date. I'll call the dealer tomorrow. They told me that my car production date was FEB 2. Actually I saw it on their computer. Last week I called the BMW 800 number to show it to my brother. It told me that my car was on production.
As soon as I know my PC delivery date I'll let you know.
Thanks for the help.

You need to get on your salesman and make him do his job .He has paperwork to submit for your delivery date. PC delivery schedule is first come first serve . The sooner he submits - the sooner you get your car.

I talked to the salesman today. They hadn't done anything yet. Today he faxed all the paperwork. Now I have to wait for the PC answer on their request.
By the way, this is the very first PC delivery for that particular salesman. He also told me that the dealer haven’t done much PCD although we’re about 4 hours driving from Greenville, SC. They have been really nice and professional with me, but today they started looking on their computers to find out what they have to do to set up the PCD date. Actually, I think I know better about all this process than them.

Hopefully they aren't too late. The car will need the proper paperwork getting off the boat to be directed to the PC. They may have to make some phone calls.

We had planned on PC delivery for my wife's 330 which is waiting for a boat right now, but we decided to just take normal delivery. I bought a 2002 540i 6MT in early 2002 with PC delivery. It was a fun day...they make you feel like a king. If you can stand the wait, make sure you don't miss the opportunity.
