who's credit?
I ordered a 2009 335xi coupe which is currently in transit.
The application at the dealer is in my name, but my dad is also on it as my co-signer. When talking with the insurance company, they said that I would save money by having the car under my dad's policy instead of getting my own, which in turn means the registration would have to go under his name too instead of mine. My question is, whose credit would be affected by this? Mine or my dad's? I thought that it would be mine since I'm the primary applicant. But if the insurance and registration is under my dad's name, it could affect his too? Thanks Last edited by 335xiRN; 11-13-2008 at 10:24 AM.. |

I doubt insurance and registration would impact credit. It's the loan obligation that impacts it, and it sounds like both you and your dad are on the loan.
