Whirring noise when idle..

Recently I've noticed that once I start the car the engine is making a bit of a whirring noise which goes when I give it a bit of gas (still in P).

Drives fine otherwise but getting a bit concerned as it is a high miler.

Any ideas what it could be? It just generally sounds noisier now when idle..

Fan belt maybe...?
