People are getting big discounts on the new one and they are coming through on cheaper lease deals too. Then you've got the issue of the new M2 too. If the M2 is as good as people hope, that'll drop demand for the M4 a bit more. It doesn't appear to be as popular this time around. I don't think it would be that much of a surprise to see 3 year old cars hitting £30k. |

Peter Vardy in Edinburgh are pushing cheap M4 leases at the mo, £150/pm less then M3's - BMW must be struggling to sell M4s (no suprise, M3 is miles better looking).
https://www.contracthireandleasing.c...w/m4/63940750/ It says business only, but they will just add VAT and do it for personal if you ask. £598 inc Vat on a 6+23. You'd get 50quid off that with a bit of bartering on the phone, that's the best lease price the M4 has ever had. M3 will follow as the model ages. Peter Vardy is one of two dealers in Edinburgh who seem to consistently do the best lease deals on BMs. (why Edinburgh I don't know?) They helped me get the price down on my new M6 GC to almost half the going rate. Last edited by doughboy; 10-20-2015 at 02:59 AM.. |

You can argue about deprecation values as much as you like, but lease or buy if your going to change in 2 - 3 years time your set to loss a decent amount which ever way you fund the car.
The difference with leasing is you don't have to pay a large amount up front, and you don't need to worry about re-sale. £598 x 29 = £20,155 to pay for having a brand new M3 for 2 years. That's a fair chunk of money to throw into a car, but if you can afford it, and want to change after 2 years with no hassle what's the harm?? If want a brand new M3/M4 your have to pay for it, lease/PCP/cash, it's that simple. |

+1 gangzoom. Leasing isn't necessarily "cheap" because you are buying new and will suffer most on depreciation. But it is often "cheaper" than other methods to get the same thing.
That M4 lease price is better than you could ever PCP one for. There's 2 years financing in there too for the unseen "loan" of roughly 50K ish, so it's not all about depreciation. (interest will be about 5K). |

After doing the figures, it's actually cheaper for me to buy at £60K out-right, and sell back to Tesla in 3 years rather than lease. Not much in it, but leasing is working about £2K more expensive over 3 years - Even if you take into account earning 3% interest on the £60K lump sum not been used for leasing. Probably most sensible thing would be to buy used though....£80K+ P85+ are currently going for £60K after just 1 year. That's a decent saving over new |

Having sold cars for 15 years I knew roughly what the outcome would be inttersteing being this side of the fence for once and getting the answers that confirm my theory Last edited by old grey steve; 10-20-2015 at 03:54 PM.. |

I tried loads of local dealers and nobody could get close to the price I was offered by BMW Cooper Tunbridge Wells. I achieved an 18% discount and £1000 more for my E92 335i in part ex than anyone else would offer. Check comparison sites such as Coast2coast Broadsheet Drive the deal Ano of course members forums to find a good deal. |

M5's are down at EWFS - lowest they've been since summer 2013...
£598 inc VAT for 6+35 or £557 on 9+35. You'll get £50 off that price if you call Colin Gourlay and haggle a bit, could be a sub £500/m M5 here... https://www.contracthireandleasing.c...w/m5/63824142/ |

I've had several quotes from Colin gourlay at ewfs over the last 2 years.
He always beats the advertised price without any trouble, he did me an m5 quote in June and added the de-rigeur 20" wheels (£2500) and still came down 50quid from the advertised price. Current M5s finish production in about April next year, so I reckon the lease deals will get cheaper from now on. Remember the outgoing V8 E90 M3s? They were leasing for £299 / month in the end. |

Forget about the GT guys,
Waiting list is until March 16 and bmw will not honour the price, as it will run into the quarter. Boooo. BMW are terrible for delivery dates at the moment, so do March, read April. I have 5 very angry clients at the moment. |
