Questions on Exhaust OEM Valves

Hello all,

Finally got my 2008 335i E90 going after buying it over a year and a half ago and I installed the ECS Vacuum Hose relocation (Part Number 025515ECS03KT). This had me replace the vacuum line going to the exhaust valve on the drivers side rear of the car and now it sounds almost like a tire leaking air. The old vacuum line was apparently clogged at the T fitting going to the rear of the car and it has an aftermarket aFe Mach Force cat-back (part number 49-36301) installed when I bought it.

So the question is, with the aftermarket exhaust, I do not have an actuator on this catback and have seen the Golf Tee mod as a fix. I was wondering if I could just cap this vacuum line off at the engine bay and it would be just as good as the golf tee mod and not throw any codes? Wasn't sure if there was a sensor or something that has to read pressure along that hose and would throw a code.

Thank you guys for all of the helpful forums that have made it possible to get this car going Pic attached of the car I've been restoring.

You want to make sure that hose going to the oem exhaust valve is plugged.......if not, you are going to have a vacuum leak. Plug that hose.
