I'm all for it, although would prefer an actual officer there in person during the violation. I like a sports car/sedan to sound good, and it doesn't have to be obnoxiously loud to do so.

The cars that go past the threshold usually sound terrible.

I’m curious though if you’ll get a ticket for having the factory active sport/track mode exhaust engaged like are on so many cars. It’s pointless to get a fix it ticket off of a camera summons when it’s the push of a button. That’s a lot of payroll if they’re trying to save due to officer shortage to find out by the magistrate that it’s built that way from factory.

Do they plan to start citing Harley guys that Chop the clutch and rev the piss out of them everytime they see a pedestrian or at a traffic light.

I think the blurble tunes have gotten a bit much, like the late 90/early 2K with Japanese fart cans.

I get it, it's people trying to sleep in dense areas with cars going by basically bang bang banging on the rev limiter to make noise and people have grown tired of the crap.

I wish they would do that to fine the Florida idiots with catless exhausts.

Just like speed cameras these should be illegal.

Also, how easy would it be to to falsify the information? Or is there a non biased 3rd party who calibrates and verifies the accuracy of the microphones? I would hope so or nothing will stick.

People don't realize how quickly these things snow ball...you give an inch they take a mile sort of thing.

NYC has real problems with drugs and crime but yeah! Let's ticket law abiding citizens who can actually afford to own, insure, register, an pay to own and drive(gas) a car which is not inexpensive mind you, especially while owning a place in the city or near by. I have been down town in NYC and you know what I hear when I have stayed there? Sirens from state employees constantly.
