They allow higher limits on Euro spec cars. Euro M3s can go up to 174 mph.

Mine had a speed limiter which pissed me off big time my car only does about 230 km/h about 143 mph. Oh well, I may never use that speed again. This was during my European Delivery.

If you are planning on testing the 155 limiter on 16th St., NW, be aware of the speed cameras near the Carter Barron. As a 41 mph ticket used to be $40, I wonder what being clocked at 155 would cost??

I may or may not have gone 155 mph

Although I would guess that, were I to have ever gone that fast in this particular car, it would still have plenty of power left.

Though this car isn't made for high speeds..

A 6cyl I6 with small turbos can't compete with a massive V8

I was heavly modded (minus meth and lsd), but I still had nothing on a C63 at those speeds.
Lower end was a different story, but after speeds 130+, that damn C63 does not stop pulling..

+1

But it is something you may want to experience

Just make sure it's a wide, big empty freeway

When going towards Irvine, there's a stretch of (if I remember correctly, it's been a while) of 6 lanes on each side, with perfect concrete and road and you can see for miles and miles.

But it's been a while since I've been down there..
