Yes & no... Since you can no longer (special) order a 2010, any order would be a 2011... there current slate of programs are not in support of a 2011. You would subject to whatever programs are available

Thanks,

Here are a couple of threads with spyshots, and a rendering based on those spyshots:

Rendering: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=309880

Spyshots: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=288506

If you look at the new F10 5 series, you can see it has the same headlight shape as the new E92/93 spyshots, and those are also like the headlights in the rendering, so I think it's a good bet there will be eyebrows...

Quote from bulletin:

"Due to the model year coming to an end with February 2010 production, please be advised that we will no longer be accepting Special Orders and Individual orders for the 3 Series and 7 Series.

The 760Li and 6 Series will not be affected by this restriction as the model year will end in August 2010.

We will begin to support these requests beginning with 2011MY with March/April production.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Sincerely,

National Automotive Sales"

So, yes we are pretty much done for 2010

My 2010 is slated for a 3rd wk of January production, so sounds like one of the last for the 2010 MY.

Cheers,

Nope- not going to happen. If any vehicle needed to be replaced before the 7 year cycle it would be the X3 and they have dragged that thing onward.

F30 is still a ways away.

The reason for the 2011 thing has to do with something entirely different....

As i'm a software developer and I must rub my influence anywhere I can... do any of you think it would work better of cars had versions numbers instead of going by the year?

Like maybe it would help depreciation, because once the year changes, it just sounds old... like running Windows 2000 in the year 2002. Maybe if they went with say... 3-Series v4.0 ( which would represent a new body), and then go to 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, 4.5 for every year of that body until it gets to 5.0.

Just a thought.

Glad to hear someone else did the same thing as me (purposely order a 2010 because did not like the new headlights & front hood).

Maybe ... there are quite a few models that are going to 2011s early. Going to a new model year in March usually signifies a fairly substantial change.

You will hear more within the next week- not 3 specific BUT you will get the idea.

Stop back tomorrow and Wednesday. Really good things coming!
