Anyone have any comparisons between the MTEC V4 9w and HPB 40w (Top Gear Solutions) for an E90 Pre-LCI w/factory xenons?

The V4's have 2 CREE LEDs per bulb, is each LED 9w making it 18w per bulb?
The HPB's have 4 LEDs per bulb, is each LED 10w making it 40w per bulb?
If this is accurate, then theoretically shouldn't the HPB's be much brighter?

The both look very similar and have similar light distribution to the outer rings. The MTEC's are a little more expensive than the HPB's, but the HPB's claim to potentially have issues.

Any thoughts or recommendations (between these 2 solutions only please, I like the Lux but can't justify $200+ dollars at the moment). TIA!

Considering Amber for my E90 LCI. I am tempted to get the 120W, it was available starting 6 days ago on Amazon. I am weary of the power pack/resistor quality though as that seems to be the deal breaker for long lasting.

Thoughts? Can anyone who has amber say that the 20w (4 led) bulb is really bright enough? I have seen several pictures and about half of them appear as if they are no™t at 20. I know Lux has good rep, but I am looking at some pics of the 20W versions, and I am unsure. Is there a reputable brand out there that has a higher LED count?

For the Pre-LCI E90 Sedan we just released out LUX E90 V6 angel eyes and they are a much lower price then previously as well. These are rated at a 67 watt halogen equivalent making them much brighter than the MTEC ones.

The "120w" ones are amber color and not yellow first off, and as well there is nothing about these that makes them 120w. Normally people will say 1 LED is equivalent to 5 watts, and since there are 24 in total there that makes it close to 120, However those LED's are not capable of 5 W. Basically its all a big lie and that seller is notorious on e-bay for making false claims about their products.

If you are looking for a good quality angel eye product go with something that has been tested and proven. The vendors on this forum are a great resource and have the best products available. We for instance just released our newest product the LUX H8 V5 angel eyes which are a true 120W halogen equivalent and produce 2400 lumen in total between the sides.

Why are there no pics of these? If they're noticeably brighter than my Mtec V4 I'd buy them in a heartbeat.

Send me a set, I'll do a side by side with Mtec V4:]

Are the V4's not for sale anymore? I know the new versions came out but wasn't sure if the V4's would be sold at a discounted rate or something of that nature.

Thanks!

The LEDs in this thread are from different manufacturers: MTEC V4 and LUX E90 V6. Both of these are the newest versions for the E90 pre-lci I believe and are still in stock from most sellers.

Zero_Cool, good timing, I'm actually here browsing this thread because my E92 Ziza's are both out after less than 6 months. It's funny because they are out but I am not getting any error warnings and my FRM module checks out with no codes. When I unplug them however, I DO get the bulb out alert when I start the car, I'm hoping this just means that the lights themselves are bad and they haven't fried anything else (wiring, modules etc.). Either way, they are cheap, the black boxes that house the included electronics are falling apart, I'd recommend staying away from these bulbs and going with one of the name brands that people in this thread have tested.
