There's a new D in town

Hey guys, I just picked up a 2011 335d M-Sport this past weekend in Dallas, then took it back home to Houston (and got 35.1 mpg @ 78 mph). TiAg, Black Dakota, iDrive... the works. I'd been looking for the right M-Sport D to come along for a while... I guess they're pretty rare?? Needless to say, I'm

I've been out of the Bimmer world for a few years. May my 2007 335i coupe RIP. I'm new to the Dark side... so take it easy on me.

It's got about 18 months of factory warranty left on it. Just bought the JBD from fsd350, but that'll be the only engine mod for now. If I end up messing with anything else it'll probably be after the warranty is up.

Welcome Matt. Where in Houston? There are a couple of us on the south side of town in Clear Lake and League City. I've had good luck with Advantage BMW/midtown for oil changes and recall work.

I live and work on the west side of town, near I-10 and Hwy 6. I'm very close to the new BMW of West Houston (formerly Momentum BMW West). I figured I'd give them a shot for maintenance purposes out of sheer convenience, but I have no idea how the service will be. I had problems there before... they kept flashing my Dinan software off every time I took it in and they weren't equipped to reload it so I'd end up having to take it up to BMW North. that was my only beef tho... anyone else use BMW Hou west yet?

Welcome to the D-club.
Funny, mine locks exactly like yours and I picked it up Dallas. Drove it back to Detroit. Very joyous days.

Detroit is a long way away from Houston... so at least we know we won't be twins any time soon

It has 71k miles. 100k warranty valid until 1/2017. got it for $22.7k + TT&L. probably not the best deal you guys have heard of, but I was hooked on that M-Sport so I couldn't say no!

Kinda what I was thinking. I originally had the salesman down about $1000 off that price, but then his manager came back and said because it has warranty they won't come down that much. I didn't even know it had the warranty, but I figured the 18 months was probably worth a grand... especially on a car with 71k

Well worth it man. Hopefully any CBU issues if there in the past were properly addressed.

I was definitely worried about that, but the fuel economy seems pretty legit at 35 hwy @ 78 mph. if it was a lot worse I'd be a little more concerned about the CBU. the drop in economy is the main tell tale sign, right?
