is it worth buying charge pipe and bov?
i have this questions for you guys, is it worth buying charge pipe and bov over stock pipe and diverter valves?
i have cobb tune and i asked cobb and they said that there is no benefit in terms of hp or tq. its just for sound. i should only change it if my stock pipe is leaking or broken. also since i have cobb tune so don't need any meth bungs either. its a 500 dollar investment, so just wanna make sure that the dollars are well spent. any input from the experts is appreciated. |

Upgrading the charge pipe is definitely a god investment specially if running a tune because with higher boost levels the stock pipe is more prone to cracking and causing boost leaks and the dvs are also likely to fail although not as likely as the chargepipe of you're going to replace one thing might as well get a kit and do it all. But a charge pipe with oem flanges for the oem dvs won't run you more then $300 if you're wanting to go the hybrid way.

If it isn't broke don't fix it
Lots of members on here are still running stock cp and dv while running 16-18 boost. I searched over and over again. I've been stage 1+ for awhile. No probs Save your $$. Until or if it fails |

+1 I wouldn't do it until it fails. It's just an unnecessary $500 to spend unless you're dying to have the BOV sound. Last summer running E85 my pipe cracked which is why I wound up replacing it. If it never cracked, I would probably still be on the oem pipe
