Pics of my new Toy - E36 M3 Content

Finally got around to taking some pictures. These are from before the M3 was detailed... so the paint looks a little hazy. Overall pretty thrilled with how the pictures came out though. Big thanks to GTFAN712 (That's his White E36 M3) along side my Cosmos Black M3.

Mods on it so far:

-3.5 euro MAF, Intake
-Supersprint Replica headers
-TRM Tune
-24lb injectors
-New bushings all around
-New OEM shocks/struts

Plans:
-Half-cage
-AST 4200's
-Recaro Pole Positions
-Upgrade cooling system

Enjoy!

I autocrossed it last weekend and couldn't believe the amount of grip compared to my 335i. I have to say I like almost every aspect of the M3 more than the 335i. It's definitely more raw, involved and fun. It may not have the power of the 335i but I like the high revving concept power curve more anyway.

This thing is going to be wicked once I dump enough money into it. Plan to do an NA build or drop an S54 in eventually...

awesome!!

S54 or S50B32 is where its at. Both need a 6 speed behind them

of course if you drop an LS3 and t56 in it, you'll blow everyone away....just giving you ideas

imagine your e36 m3 w more hp than your 335 w fbo and meth, thats what I get to drive when I want to, its A FREAKING BLAST.

Ya that's gotta be a serious blast. I think I'm gonna stay away from boost on this one until I get better out on Road Atlanta/CMP--- I've got a lot to learn. This car is primarily going to be my track-rat... I'll be focusing on suspension, cage etc. for quite a while.

I'm only 22 so I don't have quite the same pay roll as most people on these boards lol

I find most of the people who own new BMW's come from a background of other cars (other makes) so an e36 or e30 to them is just old and not cool.

Enjoy owning a proper handling car

Very nice, still dig those wheels. I enjoy the E36 M3's more than any other M3, both Euro and American cars. The E30's drive like my M Coupe, but the E36 is much more civilized, yet still likes to hang the tail out of asked. E46 and E9x's just seem too far down the luxury car path to be enjoyable without resorting to a track to get the last 5%.

Is that Cosmos or Sapphire? Oops, new to this reading thing. I love Cosmos. The S54 M Coupes were all Sapphire, while S52 cars were Cosmos. Owning an S52, I've kept my eye out for a nice S54, but really only like Imola (same as mine), Laguna, Phoenix and Estoril. Cosmos and Estoril were my favorite E36 M3 colors.

Sorry, but it has the performance of a E90 325. Nice car though.

In what aspect are you talking about?

I'm pretty sure the E36 M3 is a better drivers car in all aspect except luxury - only because it's much older.

I don't think that's a fair assumption to make at all. Power-wise it falls pretty short of being anything stellar but handling wise it's light-years ahead of my 335i or a 325i for that matter. As far as who would win on a track...? Well you'd be surprised... at Road Atlanta the 335i would have a few second lead but not nearly as much as you'd expect.

Besides, the power limitations can be fixed... and it'll still cost a lot less than a 325i.

I think part of the appeal for me with the e36 is that people write them off so quickly these days.

exactly ignorance is bliss. A few grand and you can add some serious performance to that car.

I have around 25k in my car total.

Keep enjoying the e36!
