We all have different priorities. When I was young and dumb, I blew a lot of my money on stupid stuff. Sometimes the best lessons we learn about life and responsibility are those that come from our own mistakes.

Oh I know 50 hours a week is no wheres near 70 thats hustling... Some are def better off from the get go..

I wish I could stomach blowing so much $$ an F30 lol, I hunted around for my car for over a year and secured a really good deal.
Do not want huge payments after mortgage and supporting my other turbo car
I really wanna get back into an E30 I miss that car.

That will be my story as well. I've carried my 96 Mustang for about 11 years now with no car payment, and saved a lot in the mean time. Hoping to buy a 2011 335i in a couple months. I don't make 2.5x the price of a used 2011 335i, but I don't plan on having a big car note either.

The N55 will meet, and exceed, the power capabilities of the N54 one day. The higher torque alone foreshadows this prophecy.

you kids making barely above minimum wage and buying $40k+ cars used for like $20k... that's still more than your annual income! LOL. you kids have terrible decision making skills in personal finance.

+1 I know what that's like.... I'm happy if I hit 50 Hrs a week...

for me since i been driving I've been working in the field professionally but never been to into mod's. only thing i've always been concerned about is sound systems. But i do them whenever I have some extra cash or just want to buy myself something. But as well as everything else I do I have a budget of how much I'm going to spend on modding. I'm generally really good with my budgets and usually stay within my means.

if it wasn't for online shopping i wouldn't be able to have any mods lol

Long story short, I'm a n00b when it comes to this. I'm not a car enthusiast and am still learning a lot about cars. The 96 Mustang was given to me by my father as a graduation present from college in 2001 (bought used). So this will be my first car purchase. And everything I know about cars is from attempting small DIY items on the Mustang over the past 3-4 years.

I plan on making a thread about it eventually, but the short story is I was leaning to 2011 because of the fuel economy of the N55 and some other reviews I read about it vs the 2010.

Very true... though when you have the money you still have to be careful

When I got my first job after college I wasn't used to the income and burned through it pretty quickly, not really having a concept of how to manage money of a larger amount.

Though I'm still young the last 4 years has taught me a ton about how/when to spend and how to save money effectively.

Living life is the best learning tool there is.

For most part, it's the initial investment that hurts. Same parts after that isn't too bad. IE: people who go through a bunch of wheels. They just sell their set and buy another set for +/- few hundred bucks.
