Tuning options for 330i and performance exhausts?
Are there any performance mods worth bothering with on an NA petrol car?
Some of the remap guys are offering packages for the 330i offering 25-30hp increases, but is it worth it? Also .. whats the general view on performance exhausts? I love the noise of the straight 6, but sometimes would like it to be a bit more rorty? |

Its all about how much money you want to spend.
A full miltek exhaust and remap K&Ns will get 30-50bhp Change the cams, add a supercharger (mikem)...........put an M5 engine in the sky is the limit.......

One of the guys on bmwland was selling an ESS supercharger for £1500 for a 330i, that would have given you 300bhp and taken the 0-60mph time down to 5 seconds.
I tried to buy an E46 330i touring jsut so I could buy it off him, but didn't find one in time!! |

zorst and filters wont give you anywhere near 30-50bhp.
Cant see a re-map giving 30 bhp when it only gives 45ish on a turbo engined vehicle. Banfg for buck go with a supercharger. (Will kill resale) But will go like the clappers. But otherwise go for zorst and filter, still talking best part of a grand for approx 10-15bhp
